Regional Welfare Training

A quick reminder that the semi-annual welfare training broadcast will be from 7:00-8:00pm on Thursday, February 7th.  It will be a broadcast that we can view at the Katy Stake Center.  After the broadcast training there will be a some local training under the direction of Pres. Allen that will start at 8pm (immediately after the broadcast).

The broadcast will review the following:

• Bishop's Storehouse orders
• Family canning
• Effective use of ward/branch councils to handle welfare matters and assist the bishop/branch president in his role to search out and care for the poor and the needy

The following people should attend these meetings and we ask all to please help drive awareness and attendance to areas of your stewardship:

Stake Leaders:

• Stake Presidencies, executive secretary and clerk(s)
• High Council
• Stake Relief Society presidencies
• Stake Young Men president
• Stake Young Women president
• Stake Primary president
• Stake Sunday School president
• Stake welfare specialists

Ward/Branch Leaders:

• Bishoprics, branch presidencies, executive secretaries and clerk(s)
• High Priest Group Leader and assistants
• Elders Quorum presidencies
• Relief Society presidencies
• Young Men president
• Young Women president
• Primary president
• Sunday School president
• Ward/Branch welfare specialists
