Multi-Stake Special Relief Society Meeting

Dear Presidents,

 I want to make you aware that the Houston Texas North Stake will be hosting a Relief Society Meeting for all sisters in the greater Houston area on Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 10:00am to 12:00pm.  The purpose of this meeting is to help women catch the vision of the privileges, blessings, and responsibilities of Latter-Day Saint women.  The keynote speaker will be Sister Sheri L. Dew, past member of the General Relief Society Presidency and author. Her topic will be "What it Means to Be a Latter-Day Saint Woman".   We would like to invite all women in ages 16 years and older and their non-LDS friends and family members to attend this meeting.  Additional information will be provided as it becomes available. For those of you who have had the opportunity to hear Sister Dew speak, you know this will be a wonderful opportunity for our sisters to be spiritually fed and uplifted.   

We should be able to accommodate attendance from the stakes nearest our stake center (I believe we can provide seating for 1200 at the Hafer building) but we also plan to broadcast the meeting via the internet (webcast) so sisters in all stakes can participate.  For those who wish to attend in person we will have provide the means to register online.  We will be sending out more information regarding this meeting in the near future but wanted to give you a heads up so you can place it on your stake calendars now as you plan your activities for next year.

Hope to be back in Houston soon and to rub shoulders with you in upcoming coordinating council meetings.  May the Lord bless each of you as we labor to together in this great work of salvation.
