Sister Virginia Dolan from Katy 2nd Ward has been called as the new Stake Welfare Specialist over preparedness. She is extremely knowledgeable and has a testimony of the importance of our Stake members being prepared for unknown emergencies. We are grateful for her enthusiasm in accepting this calling and look forward to serving with her.
As a follow up to our discussions at RS Leadership meeting last January, Virginia is planning preparedness classes to be held in September, October, and November of this year.
Meantime, she is visiting several wards that have already scheduled Preparedness Enrichment meetings in order to know what areas to cover. She is also willing to help you on a ward basis.
Presidents, she would like your suggestions or concerns via email or phone calls, in order to set up workshops that fit the needs of the wards in our Stake. She also needs names of sisters from your ward that could assist with various workshops depending on their expertise.
