Sisters,
We are so impressed with the service that you consistently give to the members of your ward. I was just reading this quote and it gives me encouragement and I wanted to share it with you. This is Paul's letter to the Saints, but I have also added my editorial thoughts in parenthesis.
Galatians 6:9-109: "Let us not be weary in well doing; for in due season we shall reap, (your reward will come, it will be in the way of blessings to you and your family, not earthy reward.) if we faint not.
10: As we have therefore opportunity, (yes, we have been called to a Relief Society leadership position, and given the opportunity, not everyone has this privilege.) let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith." (the "household of faith" are our sisters and members of the Gospel.)
It's easy to get worn down by the pressures of our callings, but hang in there, your reward will come in due time.Sister Samantha Kirby
A "Calling" is often described as being involved in something bigger than ourselves. Isn't it interesting that in the Church we are usually asked to fulfill callings, not perform jobs! One of the great benefits of activity in the Church is the sense that whatever good we do here contributes to our Father in Heaven's work "to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man." (Moses 1:39)
We love and care about you.
