Laurels transitioning into Relief Society

Sisters,

We know you are all currently making an effort to include and transition the laurels into Relief Society. Catherine Craner, from Nottingham Country ward put together these "10 ideas to help transition YW". I love how she gave the YW suggestions and permission to be proactive in Relief Society.

Actually, this could be given to every sister; those newly baptized members, sister who just moved in and sisters who have been in the ward for years!

Awesome...Catherine, thanks for your inspiration and sharing good ideas with all of us. We welcome successful ideas from all of you.

10 “Keys” to successfully transitioning to Relief Society

1.     For starters, be sure to GO to Relief Society!
2.     Everyone likes to feel like they belong… so find a friend!
3.     Be a friend:  Smile, introduce yourself, welcome others, sit by people.
4.     Share: your thoughts & insights, your testimony, your struggles, your talents & interests.
5.     Ask questions.  If you are thinking it, others probably are too.
6.     Get involved. Attend the RS and YSA activities.  Start an interest group!
7.     Serve.  The greatest way to get closer to other RS sisters is to serve them.
8.     Visit.  A unique opportunity we have is to visit teach. This is how we watch out for one another, and grow together.
9.     Love.  Love yourself  for who you are instead of comparing. Love others for who they are, instead of judging.
10.   Forgive. We all have common goals, but we're not perfect! We all make mistakes.  Forgiveness allows you to move forward and progress.
